Meet Tina Burton, Health Connect Properties’s Property Services Coordinator! Tina works to support the team in all areas of portfolio management, with a strong focus on building long-term relationships and quality solutions for clients. Her daily responsibilities includes communicating with property managers about all work orders that may impact business operations, maintaining property files, and assisting with the collections of accounts. She has extensive background in real estate, as she and her husband are the founders of Community Alliance Partners.
- Why did you get into real estate?
I decided to obtain my real estate license while working for a commercial insurance agency. I enjoy broadening the scope of what I learn typically across similar industries or divisions. Not long after getting my license, we moved to another market. With my husband’s experience in development and construction and my real estate background, we started a family-owned business where we developed, built, and sold a 130 home master planned community. Upon moving back to Denver, I’ve worked with many clients as a residential real estate agent and am now excited to have the opportunity to expand and learn more about the commercial real estate industry with HCP.
- What is your vision for HCP moving forward?
Markets are always changing and I feel HCP is great at adapting to these changes. I see HCP continually growing by finding synergy for existing clients.
- What advice would you give someone starting in the industry?
Starting off with a team is a great way to kick-start your career. Find a company that focuses on providing additional value-added services/expertise offered, believes in excellent customer service, and continually looks to grow their portfolio. In addition, take advantage of the many options for additional education through associations and title companies that are offered.
- How do you spend your free time?
With the fantastic weather we have in Colorado, I enjoy playing tennis, skiing, and hiking. I also have two kids which keeps us very busy with activities!
